Learn how to use B·Stock Buddy
B·Stock Buddy is a Chrome extension and dashboard that helps you analyze liquidation auctions on BStock.com. It extracts auction details and manifest data, letting you evaluate potential profit before bidding.
Yes! B·Stock Buddy is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, but we'll always offer a free tier for basic functionality.
Install the B·Stock Buddy Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome", then confirm by clicking "Add extension". The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar. Tip: Pin it for easy access by clicking the puzzle piece icon and then the pin next to B·Stock Buddy.
Navigate to any auction detail page on BStock.com, click the B·Stock Buddy extension icon in your toolbar, and click "Analyze Current Auction". The auction data will be saved and appear in your dashboard.
B·Stock Buddy stores auction data locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage. This data never leaves your computer and is not sent to any external servers. Because the data is stored locally, it can become outdated as auction prices and details change on BStock. You'll need to periodically refetch auctions to keep the data current. When an auction ends, we recommend refetching to capture the final sale price.
Each auction item's expected revenue can be set manually in the dashboard, but this can be a tedious process for auctions with many items. So to make things easier, you can set a global ratio at the top of the dashboard, which can be overridden per auction, and both of those values are ignored when you manually set an item's expected revenue.
Expected Revenue = Unit Retail x Ratio
Example: 60% ratio on $100 unit retail = $60 expected revenue
Priority:
1. Global ratio (fallback)
2. Auction-level override
3. Manual override per item in manifest
Auction data becomes stale when it hasn't been refreshed in a while. Prices and bid counts change frequently, so stale data may be outdated. Click "Refresh" on the toast notification to update all stale auctions.
Click on any item description in the manifest table to edit it. This is useful for creating better search terms when researching prices. Edited descriptions show a blue pencil icon and can be reverted with the undo button.
Each manifest item has links to search eBay sold listings, Google Shopping, and Facebook Marketplace. These help you research actual selling prices to determine your Expected Revenue for each item.
